What is it?

The service allows documents to be attached to the winners of the competition notice or claims for scholarships to attend Higher Technical Institutes (ITS).

Who is it aimed at?

The service is dedicated to potential winners admitted with reservations, children or orphans and persons treated as such of employees and pensioners of the public administration enrolled in the Unified Scheme of Credit and Social Benefits (Gestione Unitaria delle prestazioni creditizie e sociali) and pensioners who are users of the Civil Servants’ Pension Scheme.

How does it work?

Within the time limit set out in the competition, the successful candidate admitted conditionally must access the service and perform the following tasks in order to obtain the benefit:

  • declare that they are enrolled in the chosen ITS course;
  • declare not to be in receipt of any other similar allowances provided by INPS, the State or other public or private institutes, in Italy or abroad, with a value of more than 50% of the amount of the study grant offered for the calendar year in question;
  • upload a copy of the rental and accommodation contract in the name of the student or family member for whom he/she is a tax dependent, concluded or renewed pursuant to Law 431/1998 or of the deed of assignment for use;
  • undertake to repay the sums received in the event of renunciation as provided for in the announcement.

By the next deadline provided for in the competition, in order to obtain payment of the balance, the winner must:

  • declare that he/she is in the second year or, if in the final year, declare that he/she has obtained the Higher Technical Education Diploma, as set out in the competition (the requirement is not required for students with disabilities within the meaning of Article 3, paragraphs 1 and 3, Law 104/92, or 100% civil invalidity if they are over 18);
  • declare not to have received any other similar allowances provided by INPS, the State or other public or private institutes, in Italy or abroad, with a value of more than 50% of the amount of the study grant offered for the academic year in question.

All declarations must be accompanied by the uploading of a copy of a valid identity document.

Processing times

The deadline to define the decision was set at 30 days by the Regulation for the definition of the terms to conclude the administrative proceedings adopted by INPS pursuant to Article 2 of Law no. 241/1990.

The table attached to the Regulation shows the deadlines for defining the measures established by the Institute that are longer than the normal 30-day period, and the indication of the relative manager.
