What is it?

Civilian invalidity reports are integrated on the title page by the presence of a QR-Code, a particular matrix code capable of storing information readable by mobile devices through special applications.

The service is aimed at public administrations and publicor private entities that, through a specific agreement with the Institute, intend to make use of the possibility of verifying the validity of a medical report for:

  • the provision of certain subsidised benefits (for example, the reduction of the cost of the ticket for local public transport);
  • access to certain benefits (for example, the purchase of a car with reduced VAT).

How does it work?

Thanks to this procedure, it is possible to verify the authenticity and validity of the report in real time by accessing constantly updated information and thus eliminating the risk of modifications to the paper report.

With the Mobile INPS app (or another application capable of reading the QR-Codes), all that is required is to scan the QR-Code affixed to the report with the camera of a smartphone or tablet.

By reading the QR Code, the user is directed to the INPS portal. After logging in with their login credentials and the tax identification code of the holder for the report, the document can be accessed.

In the event that the Mobile INPS application is used, recognition on the portal takes place automatically and it is thus only necessary to enter the tax identification code of the holder of the report.

The system allows you to view:

  • the medical-legal opinion;
  • the date of the health revision;
  • the period of validity (if there is a subsequent report on file for the same subject/type);
  • any right to tax benefits.
