Publication: 3 April 2017 Latest update: 26 April 2023

What is it?

INPS annually announces a competition for the award of school subsidies for enrolment and attendance of:

  • nurseries;
  • preschools;
  • primary (elementary) schools;
  • middle schools;
  • upper middle school;
  • degree courses.

Who is it aimed at?

Orphans of:

  • Poste Italiane SpA Group employees;
  • ex IPOST employees.

They must be subject to a monthly deduction of 0.40% as referred to in Article 3 of Law no. 208 of 27 March 1952, who died in active employment or in the same month as retirement.

How does it work?

WHAT AM I ENTITLED TO?

The amount of the subsidy, established by the competition tender, varies according to:

  • the ISEE indicator of the family unit to which the beneficiary belongs;
  • the type of subsidy claime

In the case of an orphaned beneficiary who lost both parents, the amount of the benefit is the maximum amount provided for each type.

The submission of an invalid DSU (single substitute statement) at the date of the claim or an invalid ISEE, involves the allocation of a subsidy amount equal to that provided for the maximum ISEE class.

In the event that the beneficiary has benefited during the same year from other similar benefits provided by the Institute, the State or other public and private institutes, in Italy or abroad, of an amount less than that to which they would be entitled, the amount of the subsidy will be reduced.
