What is it?

It is a contribution to partially cover the costs of participating in a language course in one of the host countries.

At the end of the course, the certifying body will issue certification of the language level B2, C1 or C2, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR.

Who is it aimed at?

The Competition Tender notice for the language course abroad is a service dedicated to children or orphans and those equivalent by law of:

  • dependent workers and pensioners of the public administration registered in the Unified Scheme of Credit and Social Benefits;
  • pensioners benefiting from the Civil Servants’ Pension Scheme;
  • members of the IPOST Fund Scheme.

How does it work?

The course must include:

  • a minimum duration of three weeks and a maximum of five weeks;
  • compulsory attendance for at least 20 hours (of 60 minutes each) per week;
  • take place in the foreign country where the official language is the language of the course, in the months of June, July and August.

At the end of the course the exam must be held for obtaining a certification of the level of proficiency in the language B2, C1 or C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), issued by the relevant certification institutes.

The contribution is paid as a percentage of the expenses incurred for:

  • the course;
  • room and board;
  • the travel expenses.

The percentage of repayment is established in relation to the ISEE (Equivalent economic situation indicator) value of the family unit the student belongs to and is calculated on the lowest amount between the actual expenditure and the maximum reimbursable ceiling, as in the example.
