What is it?

PLEASE NOTE: the registration of beneficiaries through the Access to Welfare Services procedure, which is necessary to participate in the Day Summer Stay Tender, is reserved exclusively for children or orphans and persons treated as such of:

  • Civil servants and civil servant pensioners enrolled in the Unified Scheme of credit and social benefits of INPS;
  • pensioners benefiting from the Civil Servants’ Pension Scheme.

Therefore, the database registration of beneficiaries is not useful to assign the contribution established within the framework of the measures to contain and manage the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency (Decree-Law No. 34 of 19 May 2020).

The Institute, through the Summer Stay competition announcement, grants a contribution to cover all or part of the expenses incurred to attend a day summer stay in Italy from June to September.

Who is it aimed at?

The tender is aimed at minors aged between 3 and 14 years, children or orphans and persons treated as such of civil servants or pensioners of the public administration affiliated to the Unified Scheme of Credit and Social Benefits and pensioners registered in the Civil Servants’ Pension Scheme (GDP).

How does it work?

The winners are awarded a contribution covering all or part of the cost incurred to participate in the summer stay, lasting from a minimum of one week (five days) to a maximum of four weeks (20 days), even if not consecutive.

The contribution is awarded on the basis of the ISEE value of the household, as a percentage of the lower of the maximum contribution, set by the notice, and the weekly cost of the summer stay.

The summer stay must be organised by a single provider, chosen by the applicant for the benefit. The contribution covers the costs associated with the planned recreational and sports activities, the costs of food (snacks and lunch), any trips and anything else provided for in the programme, as well as insurance cover.

The stay must be aimed at the constructive management of the young guests' leisure time during the summer break from school activities.

The summer stay must take place at a venue that complies with hygiene and safety regulations, is accessible and barrier-free, and has suitable premises to distribute and consume single portion pre-packaged meals. The venue must also be provided with fully-equipped and accessible toilets, indoor facilities, accessible green areas and a first aid station.

The organisational structure of the day summer stay must comprise managerial, educational, auxiliary personnel and personnel in charge of managing disabled young people who meet the legal requirements for carrying out these functions.

Claim

REQUIREMENTS

The competition is open to children aged between 3 and 14 on 30 June.

WHEN CAN I CLAIM?

The claim must be submitted within the time limits laid down in the competition notice.

HOW CAN I CLAIM?

The claim must be submitted electronically to INPS using the “Portale Welfare in un click” service, which allows to claim for benefits in a simplified form. It is sufficient to claim for the benefit by accepting the conditions set out in the relevant notice. INPS will automatically check the presence of the requirements in its own databases or at affiliated institutes.

In the “Consult claims” section of your reserved area, you will be able to find out whether your claim has been accepted or not. In this case, additional information may have to be entered.

If the beneficiary is not present in the databases, it is first necessary to register him/her using the “Access to Welfare Services” service, which allows you to view and update your personal data sheet, identifying family members as beneficiaries. The data will be captured by the computer system and stored in future accesses.

Processing times

The deadline to define the decision was set at 30 days by the Regulation for the definition of the terms to conclude the administrative proceedings adopted by INPS pursuant to Article 2 of Law no. 241/1990.

The table attached to the Regulation shows both the deadlines for defining the decisions established by the Institute that are longer than the normal 30-day period, and the indication of the relative manager.
